1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the band since the recording and and release of the new album?
Right now we are doing some small-scale promotion. We are also waiting for the CD version to arrive from the manufacturer. Unfortunately, it has become slightly delayed. But LP and MC were released on time. In addition to this, we will try to make a few shows during the next year.
There is also work going on to release a compilation double CD with mostly demo material. It will probably be released next year. Then there is plans for a split 7” with Excruciation next year.
So the machinery rolls on so to speak. Continue reading
Sarcophagus In The Sky full stream, review and interview at Doomed & Stoned!
“The album opens in characteristically stormy fashion with an ominous, rumbling – the sound of anticipation that I’ve come to identify with HEAVYDEATH. “The stone has a purpose,” a grave voice utters prophetically. “A new journey begins, soon after dark.” And with that, we are immersed in the dark, strange reality of the Sarcophagus In The Sky. As with all of HEAVYDEATH’s work, the riffs are intuitive, the rhythms well-placed, the low-end growling like hungry beast on the prowl, the atmosphere charged with electric mist. Heavy as all hell.
Something untoward is about to happen. A sky-bound monolith has appeared suddenly and without warning. Who or what is it? For the answers, you must dive headlong into each of these ten tracks. The new album is releases on November 17th and can be pre-ordered on LP, CD, Cassette, and digital formats.”

Hi! Tell me about Heavydeath. Why did you decide to name the band with such title? What kind of ideas do you explore?
We are a three-piece band from Sweden who play “heavy metal of death and doom”. The band started officially in 2013. The band consists of me (Nicklas Rudolfsson) on guitar/vocals, Johan Bäckman on bass guitar and Daniel Moilanen on drums.
It is not easy to come up with a great new band name nowadays but we tried to find a band name that fits the music we play. The first thing that came up was HEAVYDEATH. Maybe not the best band name but it is what it is.

Vilket år 2016 är! För just när man sitter och funderar över årets tio bästa album, dyker Heavydeath upp med ett album som verkligen är med och slåss om saken. Andra fulllängdaren In Circles We Die spelades in i två sessioner. Trummorna i april under ett intensivt dygn i en källarlokal i Stockholm. Resten spelades in i Uddevalla senare under sommaren.
Bara Metal ville veta allt. Nicklas Rudolfsson [sång, gitarr] ställde upp.
